Impatiens Colour Sensation is a recently released hybrid variety of impatiens with substantially improved plant traits including consistently dense and abundant flowering on compact plants, making this variety an excellent choice for bedding and for use in planter boxes and a range of pots. Despite its compact size, Impatiens Colour Sensation produces an abundance of large flowers in cheerful tones of pink, purple, red and white and several other stunning colours that are sure to impress, particularly when planted in a mass planting. Impatiens Colour Sensation is a Spring-Summer-Autumn flowering variety. Following heavy summer flowering, a light trim will ensure heavy flowering throughout the rest of the warmer months. Impatiens genus consists of approximately 950 individual species, with the commonly cultivated varieties commonly referred to as Busy Lizzie, Balsam and Touch Me Not. The variety Impatiens Colour Sensation is a modern hybrid cultivar of Impatiens walleriana.
