Lapidaria Margaretae "Karoo Rose" is an intriguing succulent originating from Southern Africa where it grows in rock crevices from Namibia to the Northern Cape regions of South Africa. Lapidaria Margaretae "Karoo Rose" is closely related to the lithops, however is a particularly rare succulent variety as it is the only variety within the Lapidaria genus. Lapidaria Margaretae "Karoo Rose" is highly sought after because of its small intriguing pyramidal shaped leaves that often resemble a pile of rocks, particularly as the plants amass a larger number of leaves. As the plants mature, they produce a finely-cut and scented, yellow daisy like flower (not dissimilar to a Livingstone Daisy) which can be 4-5cm in diameter, which is a pretty impressive flower to plant size ratio. Lapidaria Margaretae "Karoo Rose" is ideally grown in pots with a free draining mix high in sand, but will also grow in rockeries and a wide range of gardens, and like all succulents is very drought tolerant, making it a favourite for pots and sun-drenched garden beds. The young foliage is generally green, but take on a silver tone as they mature, with the stunningly exotic dusted-silver foliage making this variety a great addition to any garden as the intriguing texture provides great contrast.

Please do not contact us telling us the seed packet "was empty"! If you are unable to see the tiny seeds, ask someone with better eyesight to assist.
